Day 27 of 30 Days of Poetry

no mysteries lie
in your ancient dreaming spires—
not since I left you
no mysteries lie
in your ancient dreaming spires—
not since I left you
arrived Halifax
returned home without my heart:
sorry 'bout that
heart-driven brush
paints emotion on canvas—
truth beyond words
This pile of dried leaves
Door to wondrous adventure—
Open with hot water
Tear the final page
Out from the book of your life,
And burn it, unread.
