My Autistic Dance

First Kiss

Day 12 of 30 Days of Poetry

Two relaxed, happy women wearing sunglasses on a beach, one with her arm around the other's shoulders and kissing her cheek
Across the miles I think of days
We spent beneath the summer sun
When laughter echoed in our ears
And all the world belonged to us.

I close my eyes and feel again
The touch like silk upon my cheek
Of lips that spoke without a voice
True words of love to fill my heart.
