Day 6 of 30 Days of Poetry

I gaze over familiar fields
With eyes focused on the past,
And if I turn my head just so
I know I'll catch a glimpse
Of those I thought lost.
In that fleeting instant,
Magical space between moments
Where past and present mingle,
The lost are found once more
And I can feel complete.
Beautiful lines…reminds me of a place I have been and an emptiness I felt at once time

Thank you. The photo shows where I grew up, and as I stood there on that summer’s day my mind travelled back through memories of all the times I’d walked along that same path over the years and the people–especially my late parents–who had walked it alongside me.
